GUIDE · PRODUCT DEMOS
A product demo needs a story, not more shots.
Give each scene a job before adding another angle.

Answer one useful question
Begin with the question the viewer needs answered: what is this, how is it used, or where does it fit? Pick one as the lead. A short demo becomes harder to follow when every scene tries to introduce a different benefit.
Write a one-sentence purpose before planning the shots. “Show how this pump dispenses the product” is a clearer task than “Make it look premium.” A visual style can support the purpose, but it cannot replace it.
Build a sequence, not a collection
Let the first shot establish the product. Follow with the approved action, then a detail that helps explain it. End with the next step you actually want the viewer to take.
A simple sequence gives an editor a reason to cut. If two shots communicate the same thing, choose the clearer one rather than keeping both to make the video longer.
- Establish: the exact product and packaging.
- Explain: one accurate use or detail.
- Close: one clear, relevant next step.
Keep the demonstration faithful
Use your own approved product footage when color, texture, application or packaging needs to be exact. A beautiful generated frame is not evidence of what a real formula looks like or does.
Check the original instructions before showing an application. Keep uncertain details out of the script and ask the product owner to confirm them. Reference media should communicate a direction, not silently become the customer's product.
Start a product-led brief, then review the proposed sequence.

Watch the whole story once
Review the assembled draft without stopping. Can you identify the product, understand the action and follow the final invitation? If not, look for the missing explanation before adding effects.
Then review it again for individual details: readable labels, accurate packaging, consistent product appearance, captions and the final destination. A clean sequence makes this review easier; it does not remove the need for it.
